Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

3 years of experience in a technical leadership role and overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management.

Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree, PhD, further education or experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field.

Experience with open source software development and open source tools and best practices, as a contributor and/or as a maintainer.

Software development experience in one of the following languages: Go, Python, JavaScript, Java, C, C++, Rust, etc.

Knowledge of privacy and security engineering, computer and network security, authentication and security protocols, and applied cryptography.

Lead a team to work with the open source community for an ecosystem or focus area to improve the security posture of key projects.

Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.

Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and mentoring.

Develop the mid-term technical vision and roadmap within the scope of the team and develop the roadmap to meet anticipated goals.

Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, efficiency, etc.).
